Managing Global Manufacturing

Managing Global Manufacturing

I led the end-to-end design, discovery, and execution of Xometry’s reimagined Job Management system—a mission-critical ERP experience used by global case managers to oversee manufacturing jobs at scale. Over six months, I partnered with product, engineering, and operations to redesign fragmented workflows into a centralized, intuitive platform that reduced cognitive load, increased case visibility, and improved operational efficiency.

As Xometry accelerated growth across its global manufacturing marketplace, internal operations were constrained by outdated, fragmented tools. Case managers—the frontline operators responsible for keeping jobs on track—were forced to juggle ERPs, CRMs, email, and task managers, leading to delays, errors, and operational bottlenecks. To support business scale and improve on-time delivery, Xometry needed a unified, modernized Job Management experience that centralized workflows, reduced context switching, and enabled teams to act quickly and accurately.

We created a centralized, ERP-based Job Management system that unified critical workflows into a single, streamlined experience. By rebuilding the ERP interface using the Loft design system, consolidating case actions, integrating data across tools, and introducing dashboards for job assignment and status tracking, we gave case managers real-time visibility and dramatically reduced manual effort. The reimagined system improved oversight, eliminated redundant tools, and paved the way for automation—resulting in faster resolutions, fewer late jobs, and a more scalable operational model.

Within 30 days of release, case managers showed strong adoption of the new system, with daily management actions increasing by 60% and “unknown late” jobs reduced by 25%. Early visibility enhancements and workflow consolidation enabled faster resolutions, improved on-time delivery, and strengthened cross-team coordination. By modernizing the ERP foundation and reducing operational friction, the redesigned Job Management system became instrumental in improving customer satisfaction, supporting staff retention, and preparing Xometry for continued marketplace expansion.
